They have a wide selection of salads, entrees, fish and above all meat cuts from different origins. We had the octopus salad and it was pretty good as well as an Argentinian ribeye, tasty but 25% of it was left in the plate as it was pure fat and tough bits. Good selection of wines by the glass, ideal to rediscover the quality of some Romanian wines. Pleasant service provided, with a smile.

I strolled around for maybe half an hour and kept passing Arcade Cafe. It was chilly and drizzly, and I noticed people sitting near heaters with blankets. It looked so cozy that I had to stop. I ordered a vegetarian halloumi burger and a mojito. The burger didn't have any sauce and was kind of dry, so I ate the halloumi and cucumbers and that's it. Not the best. BUT the mojito!! Delicious! I ordered a second one. And it was cozy under the blanket with the music pulsing from the surrounding nightclubs. I loved the vibes. The women at the table next to me ordered a frappe and it looked delicious. NOTE: Tip isn't customary in parts of Europe, but is IS in Romania. I had read from a few online sources that if you tip on a card, often the servers don't see the money. I took out cash to be able to tip my servers during my trip.

Two years ago, when there were not too many alternatives, Maverick was quite popular and the prices were much lower.
