My friend and I came during rush hour and saw that the selection of baked goods was limited, which was understandable. While we were deciding what to order, a staff member stood nearby, staring into the empty display cases and watching us closely, making us feel uneasy. Another staff member did the same shortly after. When we were ready to pay, one of them quickly went to the front, clearly aware we wanted to check out. As people of color, this behavior made us feel uncomfortable, as if there was an unspoken message being sent. The restaurant has cameras, so staff should focus on making customers feel welcome rather than uneasy while choosing their orders. Despite the experience, I still left a tip, although my friend found it quite off-putting. Service: Takeout.
