Every item was returned, and we were still charged full price to pay. Zero customer service, zero compensation offered. When asked about what they could do to turn the experience around, they offered to discount the drinks for 30% but had to pay full price for the food? Drinks weren’t even the issue. I DO NOT NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!! Had to walk out with an empty stomach and lost appetite.

The piña colada (zannana on the menu) was complex, not too sweet, and perfectly boozy; the mezcal-forward Last Word Caribéen was also yummy. We ordered several tapas and split the jambalaya. Highlights of our meal included the ceviche, roast pork, and trout confit. Kamúy is a great place to treat yourself if you're visiting or an elegant but hip date night in the heart of downtown.

When I got to the restaurant, no one seemed to be aware of the ticket offer. They had no record of my purchase. After about 20 minutes, they stuck me in a table with an obstructed stage view (they had an awning down at night for some reason) and when I went to pay the bill, the server didn’t seem to be familiar with the event offering, so it took about 30 minutes to cash me out. Overall, I can’t recommend until they figure out how to treat guests better. Still, 4 stars for the food. Its great to find good Caribbean food this far from the Caribbean.

It was like a taste of home, but reinvented in a way we did not expect (he is Haitian,I’m Ecuadorean). The ceviche was awesome. I’ve never had a ceviche with a crunchy component, but it just made sense!! (Ibelieve the topping is deep fried cassava ribbons, but I could be mistaken). The jerk shrimp were quite big and seasonedperfectly, and the sweet potato purée they’re served on top of was a great accompaniment. I loved that the salad was made offruit and topped with an avocado dressing. The sweetness of that offset the spice in all the other dishes perfectly. Also theservice was absolutely spectacular. 10/10 staff. I have nothing bad to say. We will definitely be back!!

We took all the tapas the gnocchi plate with octopus on top and this plate was our favorite by far, one of the bestdish I have ever tasted. The bottle to make our own punch was a great addition also. After about a ten minute wait we were seated. The host was really nice- waitress was amazing-so helpful. I only read a little French, so the waitress helped a lot and made great recommendations. The appetizer wasawesome- fritters and jerk shrimp. Entrees were jerk chicken (creole style) and the steak. Flavors were fully developed- sogood. The dessert was RIDICULOUSLY GOOD!!!! WHEW! Glad we stumbled upon this place.

She was only trying to use the washroom. She screamed and cried for someone to call the police and they all laughed and made videos while they continued to abuse her physically. She begged for someone to call the police. This restaurant is quite dodgy and I recommend that people avoid going there. Plenty of other nice establishments in the area provide a better quality of service. This lady was shocked by their behaviour and left with severe injuries just because she wanted to use the washroom while she waited for her friend. The behaviour of the people running this place is completely unacceptable. I encourage people to avoid this place and share this so that no one else has to experience this inappropriate behaviour.
