The following night, I stayed at Hotel Valencia (Taipan), where I had both hot water and cable TV for half the price. On a positive note, Mm did offer a delicious breakfast that was included with the stay.

Since it was the Christmas season, the hotel lobby was beautifully decorated, featuring a large tree that welcomed guests at the front entrance, even though we entered through the back from the parking area. The lobby had a cozy atmosphere, despite its mainly concrete finishes. A single receptionist checked us in efficiently, and a staff member kindly offered to carry our luggage to our rooms, even though we only had backpacks. The check-out process was equally smooth and quick. The coffee shop next to the lobby opened around 7 AM, making it a pleasure to grab a cup of coffee for our journey.

Great food and spacious rooms! The restaurants all serve scrumptious meals and the interior is quite spacious. The breakfast area also offers a great view. The... The hotel is modern, accommodating of PWDs (they have a rail in the bathroom) and is well equipped (CR has hairdryer). The rooms are well lit and the wi-fi is fast. I can work and download my files without getting disconnected. I also like the hotel theme which is a combination of country and rustic. What I did not like though was that we were not offered the conference room but instead the very small board room. But overall with the price, I think it offers good value! Highly recommended! I hope to visit again.
