The sushi rice was deliciously vinegared, and the side dish of hiziki was not too strong in flavor but just right. The frozen cooked saury fish was tasty with a nice amount of oil. The freshly fried eggplant and asparagus on the side were also delicious. Thank you for the meal.
In July 2019, my wife, our 5-year-old and 2-year-old sons, and I visited this restaurant during our trip to Akita on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant only had a counter and tatami seating, so we sat in the tatami area. They had small Anpanman chairs for the kids, which was very helpful. The building itself had a bit of an old feel, but the interior was kept fairly clean. There were quite a few other customers, and the tatami seating was full. The food was absolutely delicious, with the fried chicken being a favorite among the kids. Akita is known for having delicious rice, and my wife particularly enjoyed the eggplant dish. The miso soup, made with a shrimp base, was also very tasty. The prices were neither high nor low, but reasonable. Personally, I prefer clean establishments, so while the food was excellent, I rated this restaurant a 4. I would definitely want to come back here next time we are in Akita!
