We said we wouldn't be served if we didn't have our masks in the Chapin SC site. I appreciate McDonald's efforts to keep everyone safe. BUT, when one of the employees comes forward with their mask under their chin and then a manager who went, as their layer was over, who also had their mask under their sheen and also spoke to their staff before she left, that was not acceptable. The rules cannot be changed. This group of employees seemed to be overwhelmed by the backup in the Drive-Thru line, because they could not handle the mass inside. I called the number to tell them what you read. I'm waiting for an answer.
What a difference can make a manager a restaurant. I've been here before and thought it was good. That was then. The order was simple and made inside the counter. Two buttermilk chicken sandwiches and a big caramele. We wear both masks and there is a partial safety shield. The shake comes in three sizes, I have a big one and later repeated. The orders are sent to a place on the counter where they are discarded, there were also other orders there. I see in the bag to check that it's mine and the size of the shake looks wrong. I pull it out of my pocket and grab someone's attention and ask: Is that a big one? It certainly wasn't, it was a little. I'm telling him about twenty-year-old employees I ordered a big one. He goes by and has a discussion with the manager. The manager comes by and starts an order for $2 and twenty something abruptly. It's for another little shake. I didn't ask for two little shakes, I just want the big one, and it doesn't matter to pay the difference. Now it comes completely unexpected and why I will never go back there. She goes to the shaker and quickly makes a big troop and puts it on the counter. Then she asks me to give her the little one who is also on the counter. I give it to her and she literally tortures it in the garbage. It dried with decaine. Some time later I open the box with my sandwich and the sandwich is falling. It is made obliquely with all the condiments in a lump on one side. Oh, but look like the tomatoes. Green and yellow and certainly not knowingly edible. So there is the history of a restaurant that strives for its customers. My original review is below: One of the better McDonalds. They do something better than most, and the service is more attentive. I was out there waiting for my order and Counter Clerk went out to tell me that my food was ready, I've never seen a Mickey D's before. A well-run business for what it is.
Quick journey through the service. I have breakfast Burrito's coffee, tasted very good.
Later the service and food has improved. Loves the Chicken Nuggets and Quarter Pounders especially. And the Cokes are the best.
Micky D's is Micky D's. The food is assembly line, but that is what fast food is all about. All you ask is that there are reasonably competent staff on duty when you go in. This was the case when we were there. The food was hot when we got it and the orders were correct. Now this may not seem like a big deal, but getting the order right is an accomplishment. McDonald's is usually not a bad experience, there is just not that much about which to get excited.
