Food is good, nachos are disappointing, service and the bussers there seriously hustle. Good local environment. Worth another visit...
I usually don?t make google reviews less than five stars, but my experience here warrants one. I?ll start off saying that I had never stepped foot in the establishment prior to my event. There were many reasons I chose this place, but two of the main onesbeing it was close to my venue it had exactly the kind of food I was looking for my event. And let me tell you, the food wasfantastic we had plenty of it. However, the service was definitely lacking. I held my rehearsal dinner here for 40+ people, about 10 of those were kids. We had the downstairs area booked there was a wedding reception happening in the upstairssection. They either had one or two bartenders behind the bar on the main floor, but don?t quote me on that, as I only wentupstairs three times at those times, I had only seen one person behind the bar making drinks. Our server was extremely hard tofind as the bride, I didn?t get served OR asked if I wanted anything to drink until about 45 minutes to an hour into theservice. I was even wearing a headband that said bride had a veil attached was even wearing a sash that said ?Future Mrs.X?, so I would be hard to miss. I had to get the server?s attention before he was going back upstairs. Many of my guests waitedon drinks they never got, or got WAY later than they asked for them. While I worked in the hospitality industry myself in thepast currently am working a job where we are understaffed, so I understand that it?s not so cut dry. But when you?respending like $1500 on something as important as a rehearsal dinner, you expect better service. We definitely should have hadmore than one server assigned to our party. I would definitely come back for a regular dinner service, but I would have a secondthought in holding an event here, unless if I knew I could have a dedicated staff for it. Shout out to Mallory though, becauseshe was SUPER nice extremely responsive when I had questions reached out when she had questions about the o
High expectations greeted with not so great service. Seemed under-staffed for larger crowd with the Thriller on 38 event, along with Bears game. Upstairs looks cool, but TVs were all off and there was no heat. Building is really nice... exposed brick, industrial. I suspect some lack of communication between owner(s), managers led to this understaffed evening ... I waited at thebar for 30 minutes and was never served. I finally gave up and left. I heard som patrons attempting to dine also got fed up andleft. Quite a shame... place has potential for sure.
I (the groom) had my wedding reception at Old Towne earlier this month, and a lot went wrong. But for this review I?m going to focus on a situation regarding the drink tickets. Originally we contacted the staff looking to have a drink ticket system inplace where we would pay for 2 drinks per guest and after that it would be a cash bar (a few of our guest can go a littleoverboard at big celebrations and we didn?t want to pay for anyone to get wasted at our wedding). We talked with the staff priorto the event and informed them that the guest count was 40 guest including my wife and myself. At 2 drinks a person with 40guest that comes out to 80 drinks at the end of the night. It should have been that simple. The day of the wedding the bartender gave a roll of at least 150 drink tickets to a guest to give out to everyone else. Mixing the overwhelming number oftickets with the fact that a number of our guest informed me after the wedding that the bar tender didn?t collect their ticketswhen providing them with drinks cause absolute chaos. In this craziness, my wife and I were charged for just under 100 drinks atthe end of the night even though we communicated with the staff that we didn?t want to cover more then 80 drinks total. To makematters worse, at the end of the night a few of my guest and myself still had their drink tickets. A couple informed me afterthe wedding that they had been served 12 drinks expecting that to be on a separate tab. Instead of paying for 4 drinks betweenthe couple like we planned we ended up paying for all 12 of their drinks. So even though not everyone drank we ended up payingfor more drinks then we originally agreed upon with the staff. We reached out to the owner regarding this after the fact, andwe were told that it was the fault of the guest who had been given the tickets (who should have never been given those ticketsin the first place). And that there was nothing they could do about it and it was entirely on us. M
