This place is super cozy and cute! It sticks out from the rest of the businesses because the exterior is painted royal blue.
I had higher hopes coming here looking for a high quality vegan burrito as was mentioned in earlier Yelp reviews.
When I decided to take my daughter to Glen Rose to watch dinosaur tracks and eat barbecue, my original plan was to visit the older ‘cube restaurants in downtown Glen Rose. I have a little more research, but, and found Loco Coyote with all its excellent reviews. Although it was a much longer journey from Dallas to the remote location, it seemed worth the risk. Boy, it was. When you pull up, it looks like a descended temple in the middle of the boonies, where you often find the best food and service, by the way. Outside the crazy looking door, the host has set us up. Our server welcomed us with enthusiastic hospitality and fast service. Sit down within maybe ten minutes, we have plenty of delicious food. I had the three-meat plate with pane breeze, ribs and sausages, onion rings and Coleslaw, while my daughter had a cut Brisket sandwich and Cheesy Mais. She swallowed her plate in about five minutes and brushed up every last piece of sauce, although it is usually not a fast eater. I couldn't finish all the food stacked blanket up on my plate, even after I share some with my daughter. But I wanted to. The ribs were excellent, some of the best I ever had. They were juicy and tender, but not overcooked. The brisket was very good, with a nice piece of crust and a decent amount of smoke. Solid. The sausage was great. It was even better provided with the thick cut fresh onion and pimple slices. Our server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. When it was clear that I couldn't finish, he brought a to-go box and asked us if we wanted to go drinks too. The payment was quick and easy. We went to the adjacent souvenir shop and liked to buy some items. For the health-conscious (although I don't understand why someone would choose a barbecue place health-consciously), their menu is more diverse than just grill. They have grilled fish, salads and the like as well as a children's menu. They also serve wine and ice-cold beer. I would recommend Loco Coyote to anyone who wishes both great food and a colorful experience. We'll go back to town for the next time, which I hope will be soon.
Motorcycle enthusiasts sanctuary under the big Texas Sky. A must visit watering hole for all backroad adventurers. Friendly folks, just don't tease the coyote. Cold beer. Lots of room inside out. Check out the chopper sculpture stuffed residents of the sage.
