We always come through Smoky Lake on our way to Lac La Biche specifically to visit Betsy's for their amazing burgers and amazing (and massive portion) onion rings my wife and kids particularly love their milkshakes, but unfortunately it looks like their machine is still broken since the summer (which made them very sad, as their selection of flavors are awesome).Would still recommend 100%, you should definitely drive through here and pick up something!
Tasty food, reasonable prices, friendly staff ... what else do you need? Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

A must stop along the northern drive through Alberta. Decent burgers, delicious onion rings, and accompanying shakes that are amazing ?
