Lire plus Eating at the gallery cafe literally felt like going into a family home for a homey lunch. The cafe is located above a curio shop in a hidden street of Dingle. It is owned and manned by a friendly couple who made every effort to make sure we had the best possible experience. They chatted with us and confessed that as soon as we arrived they went out to their organic garden to pick the vegetables for our salad. Needless to say, the salad was wonderful. The cafe consists of a handful of tables, and the daily-changing menu is vegetarian, but vegan friendly. We had a tasty Russian-style beet soup, ratatouille with couscous, and the highlight of our meal, a slice of a delicious 100% homemade apple pie. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience at the cafe and felt the fresh, home cooked meal we got was a great value for our money. If you're vegan or vegetarian and in the Dingle area, I definitely recommend eating here.

I'm docking a star as we've been in a few times over the last week, and it absolutely and overwhelmingly stinks of sickly stale puke. It is awful; you cannot escape it which forced us outside (and as I said, we love that area). If it were only one night, I'd have put that fault to one side, but on a few different visits, it was always the same smell. That's a shame, as it's a great, lively venue. Come on guys, sort the hygiene out!
