The 3 cheese omelet I had was not good. The texture of the egg was similar to what you would find in a Tim Hortons breakfast sandwich. The ingredients were added much later after the omelet cooled down. Essentially, the thin piece of cheese in...the middle was not even melted. My wife's California benny was much better. However, still a typical benny.
I've been to this restaurant a few times, and the food is good, but there's something about it that has always left me feeling like something was missing. Last night, the server was amazing. We had a big group, and he did a fantastic job...of meeting everyone's needs with an awesome attitude. The food was just okay though, and not because of the cooks, they've done their jobs. But a dish advertises as angel hair vermicelli' being made with spaghetti... meh. Or no evidence of pesto in the pesto dishes... There are corporate short cuts being taken than ruin the experience. Still a decent place to go, but certainly not my first choice.
I have been a loyal customer of Milestones on the high street for years, but I am disappointed to say that I will not be returning. During my last visit on a Friday night about a month ago, I discovered a large piece of what appeared to be a broken water glass in my food. I accidentally bit into it and luckily only suffered a minor cut in my mouth. I notified the waiter, who then informed the manager. They both apologized and offered to replace the dish, but still charged us for the rest of our meal. I was shocked that they did not offer any compensation for the dangerous oversight. I could have suffered a serious injury or a child could have ingested the glass. I contacted Milestones' office to express my concerns but received no response. This experience has left me feeling disappointed and I feel obligated to share my story online as a caution to others.
I ordered my food online at 11:30 a.m. but when I arrived at the restaurant, they couldn't find my order. After showing them proof on my phone, they took my order again. I left to do some shopping and received a call five minutes later saying they had found my order. When I returned, my food had been sitting for 30 minutes. The salad was wilted, the burger buns were soggy, and there were no utensils or napkins in the bag. The service was terrible and no one apologized for the mix-up. It felt like I was the last priority. Is online pickup at restaurants really necessary nowadays?
