Love this place it is old kind of a dive but the food is great! Their crab balls are excellent, and their specials are often great. Where else can you get homemade potato chips with old bay, and house smoked turkey salad? This is the real deal
Sad to hear that this bar is moving. Cold beer, good food, and whiskey. Always a great place for parades watchers, and it is not hard to enjoy yourself in this local, trusty tavern.
It 's a fantastic dive bar, but one of the bartenders, Dinah, makes it literally impossible to even get a drink there. If Wayne 's serving, it 's great. If Dinah is serving, expect an hour wait while she screws around on the jukebox, and then another hour wait to get your tab.
On April 15th, 2017 the MALE security guard at the door of Rodger 's House Tavern in Havre de Grace, MD assaulted my FEMALE friend at approximately 1 a.m. Myself a few other people witnessed this in the entryway of the bar.She was waiting for me to sing karaoke (which was honestly a pathetic set up terribly organized, but I was willing to play along and try to have fun). My friend was asked to leave for being too drunk as she stood at a table with me. She was not attempting to get any more drinks and was simply standing with me, but the security guard was visibly angry that she had loudly criticized him during the night for his overbearing nature. When things escalated verbally between them, I stepped in began to guide her out of the bar. As we got to the door I was now at her side , he rushed her to push her out then put her into a guillotine choke hold. This caused her to be momentarily unconscious.I grabbed around his arms screamed to get off of her, but two guys ran over pushed me aside. Thankfully a patron ran out assisted. Police were called.See Yelp or Facebook for full details.
