Speed Bowls - Aberdeen

We were coming here about once a week. I Love pho and my husband does not. He usually orders teriyaki chicken or beef and has been happy with those choices. We just left there and this time he decided to try the teriyaki pork. Do not order this dish unless you only want fat. The cook/owner came out and tried to explain they use pork belly and there are layers of fat in with the meat. That would be fine but there was no meat to be found. It looked like small pieces of cut up bacon fat. All fat no meat. He could not eat it and sent it back. They would not remove it from the ticket or even ask if they could make him something else. He just told him to order chicken or beef next time. We will not be going back! He was okay with that when the server told him. I guess our money is no good there.

Always delicious, always a good vibe! The Spicy Chicken dish is perfect. The Pho is amazing, and the Yakisoba outstanding.

Maybe it was just a fluke and they were having a off night. When we showed up we sat down at a table and no body came out to give us a menu for about 15 minutes just when I was about to leave someone came out of the kitchen and gave us menu's and took our drink orders. It felt like they were out of everything I tried to order. When the food came it smelled disgusting but I still tried to eat it. My plate of flavorful things to put in my pho was reused or something the lime had already been squeezed. I was so put off I just wanted to leave. The wait staff asked if I wanted a to-go containers. I told them no paid my bill and most likely will never return.

I love Speed Bowls. Used to eat here a lot prepandemic. I am so happy to see them overcome covid and road closures. The restaurant is nicely remodeled to now include a mini split. My favorite chicken teriyaki is now served on a metal hot plate like fajitas and this just brings out the flavors and texture even more. Once they get new menus, the transformation will be complete! Thanks for giving Grays Harbor some mighty good food. I will drive 40 minutes to eat there.

Best pho in the county, fried rice and teriyaki is to die for. Always satisfied when I go there. Also the french fries are the best I've ever had. The waitress is very nice.
