Lots to choose from. Definitely worth a visit, and many repeat visits. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly thank you
A superb country town cafe, hugely supported by locals, cyclists, and visitors. Excellent food, breakfast, my regular downfall, being the best in the area. Cakes cabinet filled with treats and they do afternoon teas with caked, just book. Service is always welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much. Book if required, as they may be busy, as they have limited tables.
Went with a friend, first time for both of us. Arrived and waited to be seated , 3 empty tables one large , one for two and a strange little table by the kitchen . We were offered the tiny to me by the kitchen but declined as we were there for catch up and explained this didn’t want to sit in a throughfare with our elbows tucked in. Then shown to the bigger table, got settled in, and then asked to move as the table was ‘reserved’. No one use it the entire time we were there. We had tea, I had a cheese scone which was very good friend didn’t fancy any of the food. It’s basic cafe stuff for the most part. We enjoyed our tea, but being moved and fibbed to about the table we had didn’t sit well
Food terrible dehydrated or greasy, a replacement item took so long to arrive my friend had finished her food. No attempt by staff to make things right and just charged the usual price, I would have refused to pay but did not want the stress… we will not be back!!
Very disappointed after our most recent visit to the Murly Tuck. We went mid morning on a Sunday and inside was very chilly with no heating on well certainly the radiator we were next to was off! So sat with jackets on. Ordered our food which was fine but then plates were taken away from myself and husband whilst our daughter was still eating! The place was empty so not like screaming out for tables! Think too much staff for that time of day with nothing to do. My husband went to pay whilst my daughter and I remained at the table and our cups/juice were then removed again before finished! Find this totally unnecessary when the place was empty. Got no thank you or bye from anyone so will certainly think twice before returning.
