Good old Irish pub with delicious food, good selection of beers (art and industry, and also serve other liqueurs), live music, cozy atmosphere and attentive staff. It is in a small place so that the parking lot is usually not a problem. The only con I would say is the size. Very, very small.
Beer is great, fish and chips a little salty. We arrived at 2 pm and it took them a little while to get 4 beers to the table. Great decor, nice music, not too loud, we were able to carry a conversation.
Having enjoyed the place several times in recent years, I arranged to meet a dozen or so friends there to watch the England Senegal match on Sunday Dec. 4. Standards have fallen: 1. Despite this being a World Cup date featuring England (in an English pub), there was only one waiter on duty. By 2pm he was serving 30 40 people. 2. I had to repeat my order to the waiter 3 or 4 times over the space of 20 minutes before getting service. 3. The waiter didn 't know what a lager is. 4. There was no English beer available, either bottled or on tap. 5. The match was shown not on Sky but on a pirate signal from the internet, which dropped 15 minutes after the start. York Pub has a lot of potential it 's nicely decorated and comfortable but management no longer seems to care.
Here I felt like I was in England. that was great
