King Crab - Akron

I 've been going to this restraunt every Sunday for over almost 2 years and only ever miss one if I 'm sick or out of town. Its always kind of been my secret restraunt but ive been selfish w it long enough, its time for word to get out. Hadn 't heard much about it before I went so I wasn 't expecting much at all but man was I wrong...The appetizers are delicious!!! The oysters are the best around imo fresh delicious crisp and cheap compared to anywhere else. $21 for a dozen is a great deal and I get them every single time I go!!! The hush puppies are great (remind me a lot of NC hushpuppies and somehow the sauce is better. The dumplings are really good and the dipping sauce is made in house also!!!Now on to the boils. Can 't say enough about them. For the first year I always got the house special because it was so good but now I 've branched out and tried pretty much every combination of their 5 or 6 flavors you can think of. Had plain Cajun yest w/o anything added to it and it may somehow be my fav yet.Every time I go I find something else about the place I love. The 3 dif kinds of crab, lobster, scallops, shrimp, crawfish and mussels are all soooooo good. I always order one extra so I can take it home and eat it again the next day!!! They also have 5 dif levels of spicy (6 if you ask for the crazy hot that isn 't on the menu ? that are always delicious. I 've found I settle in best at the middle haha.The service is some of the best around. Like I said I have been going pretty much every Sunday for almost 2 years so my server always has my oysters and my drink already waiting for me when I get there, along w the remote for the TV too since I always sit at the bar. What more can you ask for? After a few months of going I started inviting a coworker or two and now they all know about it so we easily have 5-10+ (ya they started inviting their friends also ? people there every sun. Yest we had 16 haha. Can 't say enough good things about this hidden gem in the valley. Almost unbelievable akron hasn 't found out about it yet. Bittersweet posting this as they def deserve the good reviews as they always go above and beyond, but I love having the whole bar to ourselves on Sundays for me and my crew of misfits haha

I’m not exaggerating, when I say that this place has the best foods and drinks ever! I’ve been to so many restaurants, and this restaurant made it to number 1 with just lunch! The atmosphere is so spacious and lovely. The employees are so friendly and hardworking that it made me love this restaurant immediately. Best of all, their food is the GREATEST! I’ve been to hundreds of restaurants and this place easily outdid all of them! I highly recommend this place for any occasion in general! ∞/10

Surprisingly great meal. Service and overall experience was great. Why do people still go to Red L. This where it's at. Thier bread is better than cheddar bay biscuits too.

I have been a couple times. We will be looking for a better place but the was eh. The flavors are good and the prices are good. However the portions seem smaller than advertised especially when buying a larger quantity. I will only stick to small plates for this reason. The crab has been too dry at times and too soft. The restaurant never seems busy so I’m wary of the quality of food but it was fairly fresh. The corn is too soft. Overall it is good though. The shrimp is amazing. The staff is friendly. Atmosphere is great.
