Half the club and potato soup ordered. The bread on the club was awfully dry/sold, the soup was cold and still thick as if it just came out of the refrigerator. Fly everywhere. The best part was that our server was nice. It is a shame management and operation of this restaurant will harm her and other paychecks. Thank you. Lauren, you were great. I have heard that this place in Alabaster will not be opened much longer and after a visit to lunch yesterday I understand why. At 12:20 a.m., it was said that the waiting period would be 10 minutes (at 25 to be), although the restaurant probably had 30 empty tables. Hostess said there were only 2 servers and they were both at their maximum number of tables. When we sat, our server was great, but super busy as you would imagine. The food was bad. The woman said the salmon was dry, although the **** was pretty good. The Koleslawin had turned and she became sick almost after a single bite. I had the Southern Chicken channels and that was pretty good, but the sides of the Mac cheese seemed to sit under a heat lamp for hours as it was very dried out, and not at all how M C should taste. The bread was brilliant as usual and the server got a solid 8-9 out of 10 or it would have been a lower over all ratings. I don't know how restaurants can survive with the current climate, millions of unfilled jobs and millions of people they don't want to take. Maybe pickup is just the option because the current facility in this restaurant does not work for us and we do not likely return.
We were greeted by the most rude hostess I have ever seen, not only was she rude to work with her in coming customers, but also the girl. They weren't well occupied. Our server Ian was brilliant, he was called back to work after the work of the early shift and missed mother?s day dinner with his own mother, he gets a big thumb up. The food was on average.
If you run from bacon and do not say the customer and pour bacon bits on a turkey club sandwich instead. Nothing was done, the manger promised a free meal and that he sent gift cards. I never received them. Not only my food was terrible my daughters food was cold. The bad service continues there someone post negative comments on the neighborhood post just yesterday.
Real concerns about food safety at this restaurant. Everything that we ordered was improperly cooked and not edible. The restaurant was filthy with food left by other customers just walking out due to the poor food handling quality. The tables were all sticky with a residue to the point a kids menu stuck to the table. All of the servers were very overwhelmed with too many tables and all you could hear from them was Sorry over and over at every table they visited. I don't blame them for the issues. This is clearly a failure in management and ownership. I highly recommend avoiding this restaurant for serious health code and proper food handling violations that we witnessed in the short time we were there.
