Restaurant was not very busy. Server was pretty attentive to start but once order was taken, didn't see any more of her. Ordered petite fillet and grilled shrimp and asked that the steak be cooked medium rare. Someone else brought the food out and it was clearly overcooked as were the shrimp. Ate half or better before she dropped back to make sure my steak was cooked properly. I said, no it was overcooked and requested a discount on my bill. She came back and said manager would adjust. When she brought the bill later, the original price was $33.95 and the manager had taken off a whopping $3.40. Definitely would not recommend this restaurant. Was my second and final attempt.
I should’ve written that review a few months ago when I was so disappointed with the food. The fish I ordered was so overcooked so I thought no chef who has dignity would make it this way. When I told the server and returned it I felt that his mood changed making me feel like I just don’t want to pay for it.A few days ago I went there with my son for dinner. We waited a long time for the food. The salad dressing was mostly vinegar, the couscous looked a few days old and uncooked, the mushed sweet potato tasted sour with too much alcohol brandy in it which was not mentioned in the menu. The server was a nice girl and tried her best bringing different side of regular mushed potatoes and fried sweet potatoes that were better.I decided to smooth things up with a nice desert and we ordered hot brownie with ice cream. It was something from the store barely warmed with a few strawberries around for $12.Our dinner and experience like my son said was “unbelievably bad “For sure we’ll remember and talk about this dinner like the worst ever.I’m not going there anymore and I do not recommend it to anyone unless you just want burgers and fríes.
I'm gonna give this four stars for some very specific reasons. The WINGS are outstanding. Wait staff, decor, comfort level are all excellent. They have a small and creative menu. Uneven, but burgers, wings are great, the salads are good and not just an afterthought. Chicken sandwich is disappointing.
We had high hopes for this restaurant but were disappointed. The food… well, it stunk. But everything else was good, no, great. The good: The service was excellent, from the hostess to our waiter and even the busboy staff. Even staff who were not related to servicing our table made a point to make eye contact and either welcome us or let us know our waiter was on their way or something similar. Front of house: well done. The restaurant itself was well designed and looked new. Well done on the design. Great looking dining room and outdoor seating. Great location in Tioga town center. Easy parking. The bad: The food was… below average. The “special” appetizer tasted… old. As though it had been sitting out too long maybe? Breaded cauliflower, deep fried. Lacked flavor and texture. The toasted ravioli tasted like it was previously frozen and purchased from Publix. Again, very bland. The dipping red sauce needed salt. The burger was ok. The lettuce was fresh, the pickle and tomato were small. The Brussel sprouts (side dish) were swimming in oil. Swimming. They were so greasy looking I didn’t dare put one in my mouth. The food wasn’t “bad” so much. It just wasn’t… all that good. No manager stopped by our table to ask us how the meal was going. If he or she had, they may have noticed we barely touched our food. They might have asked or noticed that side dishes were untouched. The restaurant was mostly empty on what should be their busiest night of the week at what is usually is a restaurant’s busiest time of the evening. There is a reason for this. The bar was very well attended. If this restaurant can survive on bar patrons alone they will be fine. Apparently the cocktails, wine and beer service are done right. The food, needs help. I hope they can address whatever is mis-firing in the kitchen because this is a good looking restaurant. If we were to hear that something radical had been done to transform the food and its preparation we’d try it again. But at this point, we won’t be back. Which is a shame because we enjoyed the experience and the outstanding customer service. I hope they sort out their kitchen. This should be a top restaurant given its Tioga Town center location, gorgeous design, outdoor seating, and excellent service team. But the food…
