Very busy place, located in a very good area of Alameda. Service was quick, and food very good.
A must go, if you are in the Bay Area. Delicious food and a great location, right at the heart of downtown Alameda!
I took my husband to early dinner last night and was extremely disappointed with everything except our server. We ordered the fried chicken dinners. When they came to our table they looked ok but our first bite of the chicken was very disappointing. It was dry and had no flavor, not seasoned at all. The mashed potatoes didn't taste real and were very bland. The gravy was absolutely the worst. We think it must of been watered down or maybe it's just there gravy recipe. The mixed veggies where also bland and over cooked. Years ago I use to come to Ole's for breakfast and it was good then. I was so embarrassed because it was my suggestion to go to Ole's last night. It was my husbands first time. One other disappointment, do not sit near the the bus persons station. We were startled several times buy dirty dishes being basically throne into the bins making load unsettling noise. We did complain to our server about the meal but gave her a generous tip as it was not her fault the food was so bad. I guess we should have had breakfast, but were turned off that one waffle was $9.00. We won'y be back!
Always a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner whenever we are in town. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is always great! A plus is the patio area out back where we were able to bring our dog to come and join us. It was a bit hot that day but nonetheless still enjoyable with our whole human and fur family!
