Brick Mortar Cafe - Albany

We had planned to gather to celebrate our mother's birthday while everyone was in town after the Thanksgiving holiday. We had previously visited this restaurant for Mother's Day and experienced a very long wait for a table. I was glad to see an option for open table reservations when I searched for the restaurant on Google. I made a reservation and informed everyone that we would not have to wait long this time. However, some of our group arrived early, only to be told by the staff that they do not accept reservations, especially on busy weekends. The rest of us arrived at our reservation time to find our table already seated. I mentioned to the staff that we had a reservation and recommended that they address the issue on Google. They seemed unaware that this was a possibility, so I demonstrated how easy it was to make a reservation online. Despite this, we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I would advise others to arrive early if they want to secure a table without a long wait.

First off...every single staff member were oh so kind, helpful, and polite and had smiles on. The Chicken Caprese sandwich was absolutely amazing! Everything was clean. Nice quiet atmosphere. I will definitely detour the next time I'm in the area.

Very busy place, and it's easy to see why. The food is excellent. My go to is the chicken and waffles, large. Staff can get a bit overwhelmed with how large the crowd can get, but they do a good job. The wait app is perfect to let us walk downtown albany if there's a big wait. My wifr and kids love this place so much, we decided on coming back once a month as apart of our weekend family time. Best wishes to staff, management, and ownership. This place is special.
