It was pretty busy at 9am on a Saturday, but we were still able to get a table for 4 immediately. From there, service was really fast/friendly and coffee cups were never empty. They have a full bar and coffee shop quality drink menu. Everything on my plate was high-quality and enjoyable. The hollandaise on the benny could have popped more and this is a season/salt to your own liking type of place. It's evident Brick Mortar is a local favorite for great breakfast in a casual atmosphere.
What a busy place! Nice service here and the environment just like a normal (breakfast place are usually not good tho breakfast place. Price are affordable, and have a lot of options too. The waffle are really normal so don?t order it unless you really want some. The omelette and hash are really good tbh, but it?s not like crazy good, definitely better than average!
So a coworker of mine highly recommended the waffles. He said in his words, they are the truth! He was right, I really enjoyed them. I got the large order and wasn't able to finish all of the. The chicken was nice and tender, the waffle had good flavor. They did an amazing job. Went the next day and it was amazing still. Oh and I had a raspberry mimosa, also good. We also tried the verde omelet and the chicken fried steak. The omelet was good but nothing to write home about.
This place is so good! Loved sitting outside with the dogs. Got here right as they opened on a Wednesday and they were pretty busy. Super super good service. Very quick to get drinks and food. The presentation was SO TASTY! The crepe was more like an omelet in a pancake burrito which was good but a little bit dry, wasn?t crepe like to me. The chicken was seasoned so well, so crispy and juicy, the waffle was good but had little burn bits which made me think the waffle iron was dirty and we were the first people here. The **** Mary was also great, spicy too.
Great small business restaurant in downtown Albany! Pet friendly they have sidewalk seating just outside the restaurant. Came in just after they opened on a Saturday morning and it was a little busy but we were seated right away. Ordered the Classic Eggs Benedict and the Biscuit Sandwich, both were pretty yummy! Very filling food. They have a little to go area near the front of the restaurant where you can buy coffee and scones and whatnot. They also have drink and lunch specials. We didn?t try it but their drink special was a BlackBerry Mimosa! All in all, a great restaurant and wonderful service
