Its so amazingly good you won't even realize how fast you're eating! Lol great job Chef! Tap that team is great! Thank you got a wonderful first experience!
Excellent atmosphere, good beer selection, unique way to sell, by the ounce. But the really great surprise was the food. Ordered the ahí/avacodo burger, just wow. Excellent presentation, wonderful flavor. Rest of table ordered enjoyed other great menu items. If your looking for a place to hang this bar, 'Tap That ' is a great place to try and would recommend. Back again, service and food choice still excellent, you have to stop in.
They have beer and legitimate food for dogs! We ordered ribeye w/ rice and blonde “beer” for Nanako, and she’s enjoying so much that she doesn’t even bother looking at the camera : We visited from NY and have heard that NM is dog friendly, but didn’t expect this level of friendliness! Definitely a highlight of our trip to NM. Their human food is also great, with abundant selection of tap beers. I was able to try lots of local beers here. Staffs are extremely friendly. Overall I highly recommend this place, especially if you are visiting with your dog and want to treat them with some great food and to drink and have some great time with them!
One of the nicer places to hit up in this side of town. There is a dire, dire need for some sound dampening here though. I realize it's a bar, but you have to practically yell to be heard and because of the industrial style that is all too common in Albuquerque, everyone's conversation bounces back. The food is fantastic, if a bit expensive for bar fare. We got the fried Avacado for starters, which was to die for and then the Po-Boy and spicy chicken sandwich. They do not skimp on the fries but could use a bit more salt, and the dinner portions were gigantic! As for the beer, oh man! They have a fantastic selection with some of the best prices. It's all controlled by an RFID bracelet that you use to track your brew by the oz! Some folks have complained that it isn't self service, but I'd much rather have someone pour the perfect glass each time for me. Plus Albuquerque is much too ghetto for folks not to try and game the system. Overall, this is going to be my go-to in the heights since its way easier to park than Marble and has better prices than almost anywhere.
I'm hearing this is a new concept in the beer brew business but it seems like more time is spent explaining how the system works than actually serving the beers. But nothing is gained without attempting something new so I hope this place can find its niche and hold on in a strip mall that's notorious for high business turn-over.
