I recommend them to anyone who asks me where to eat in blount county.
I made two trips in one, my first and my last. I was warned about this restaurant, but I wanted a sub, so I figured I would give them a chance. Sadly, I should have listened to the advice from my friend as this was easily the worst sub I have ever had. I ordered a foot long Philly Cheesesteak, drink and all the total came to $18.50. Severely overpriced given the subpar food. In an effort to make you think you’ve received your moneys worth they do give you a lot of meat and bread. The Philly I received was ground up and dry, it tasted like cardboard. I’ve never seen a Philly Cheesesteak come ground up. When I told them it tastes awful, I received the usual “that’s how we always do it”. Clearly, based off what I was given and their response they don’t know how subs are made. If you want a sub avoid this place and spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
When about a year ago and wasnt impressed the least bit. I gave it another shot and much much better. It had gone down bad from the previous owners. But they have definitely gotten it together recently. Prices will be higher than most remember. But not outrageous. Just a part of the modern times we live in.
I have to say when the store went under new ownership the quality had definitely went down...I tried them twice...it was awful...someone had mentioned recently that things were better...so I gave them another try today ....I must say It was GREAT! It tasted just like it had all the years before. I was pleasantly surprised.
This place is great, the subs are made almost like a grinder in Connecticut. Loved it.
