Very delicious food, cheap and friendly staff. Middle of the centre of Tavira, parking after 7pm for free (parking can be hard)
My husband and I ate here last night after walking past earlier in the day and seeing the food. We live near Bradford which is one of the best places outside of India to get a good curry. We couldn’t fault it, the poppadoms were fresh the starters really good especially the onion bajis. The main was really good with keema rice and perfect naan bread. Would definitely return here if I was in the area. Highly recommend the best we’ve ever had in Portugal.
After three visits we finally have been able to post a review. I am glad that we have waited, because everyone has further strengthened our opinion. papadums see a simple enough dish, but in reality they seem to be a strict and useful test of an Indian restaurant. in little india they are excellent: thin, crisp and not oily at all. all the following dishes were just as good. we are here three times now, and on our last visit tried the pizza. pizza in an Indian restaurant might sound uncongruent, but in that it was as good as we ever had somewhere. in the run of time the staff were friendly, charming and helpful so that each visit a relaxing pleasure. we will invite friends to beautiful tavira at the first opportunity, and little india will definitely be on our trip.
Excellent Indian food in the heart of the old town of tavira. each dish was very tasty, cooked to the right heat, as she asked how sharp we want our dishes. by recommend: lamm keema matar, chicken jalfrezi, huhn karachi, lamm jalfrezi. also sweet dishes like say aloo and tarka dahl was very good. very nice service.
