That lamb almost melted in your mouth. The bar area looked more interesting than the dining area. The dining area feels a bit sterile, needs a bit more.of ambiance and the chairs.of.the table are a bit low. If you are not very tall sit in the tables with the regular chairs. ????
Looking for a great place to eat and this hit the bulls eye! Excellent drinks, made an excellent ?mocktail? then had a meat/cheese board and pork patte?. The mussels and scallops were cooked perfectly and wrapped it up in a big way with the creme? brûlée; also took a few macaroons home to go : . A !
Our server seemed unsure of the menu but was pleasant. Mussels were good but our other entrees were entirely disappointing. The steak in the steak frites had no flavor and was undercooked. The fries were the same that you would get in a diner. The chicken entree was slimy and the duck was underwhelming. To top off the night the smell of raw sewage filled the restaurant towards the end of the stay.
I believe everything was adequate. The food/drinks, the atmosphere, the service. There was nothing alarmingly wrong or distasteful, but there was nothing special. I tried BRABO because it was raining outside, I was in the mood for French food and it was the closest one from the Hilton hotel. I feel the food wasn?t worth the price tag of $66 dollars (Bolognese and an Old Fashioned Drink).
Brabo is our favorite restaurant in Alexandria! Better than other French restaurants we?ve tried in the DC area. We?ve been several times and everything is superb steak, scallops, beef bourguignon, duck. So much flavor and cooked to perfection. Also a great spot for cocktails ???????? we?ve only been for dinner but would love to try their brunch!
