The service was good, but can be better, (more like a restaurant) depends on how the owner wants it to be of course. I started my dinner with onion soup, (this was the only vegetarian choice on the menu as a starter) Did not like it very much. I thought it was to salty. How it was served was good, just like how onion soup needs to be with two pieces of bread with cheese floating on top. The main course I had 2 choices as a vegetarian: a dish of vegetables with a Tex Mex sauce and some filled mushrooms. I chose the vegetable dish and it was actually delicious and I would absolitelu recommend to try it. As a dessert I had the brownie with ice cream. The brownie with ice cream was good, but is is the standard you can get everywhere, so nothing special about it. But still a good dessert I also ate the cheesecake with a topping of white chocolate as desert (someone else did not eat it so I could take a bite at it) And it was really good. I do not eat a lot of cheesecake, so I think it was a pretty good tasting experience and enjoyed eating it.
Great to find such a nice grill restaurant Irish bar in this area (where I grew up). No need to make the trip to Alkmaar city center anymore for a nice meal. -Great food: a selection of grilled beef as well as several other mains, starters and desserts. -Plenty of beverages to choose from (including draft Murpheys Stout and Red). -Service was also very friendly and alert. Good job guys!
Great experience on the delivery of a birthday meal! All the food was great, we just thought the burgers could be a little more imaginative in dressing up.
A wonderful restaurant slash pub on the border of Alkmaar and Sint Pancras with freindly and timely personnel. Either you choose a 3 course dinner (great value for your money) with 3 set choices for each course or go for the Grill menu where you can choose and combine what you want. I can recomend the Egg rolls (loempia) which had a chicken curry filling in it. Just delicious. I really loved their beef stew called Cumberland Pie. The meet was rich in taste and tender combined with a good sauce, unions, carrots, potato and cheese. Last but not least I can also reccommend the brownie. Freshly baked with a crunchy core and almost liquid chocolate core. All in all try it out if you are into good wholesome food with a pint of Guinnes on the side!
Great food, not expensive. Welcoming for people with dogs.
