Boston Market - Allentown

The restaurant was closed at 6pm on a Friday night, despite employees being inside cooking food. I had tried to visit a few months ago around the same time and they were "out of chicken." This could be considered the worst managed fast food establishment in the Lehigh Valley or possibly just a front.

Disappointing. It has been years since I last had Boston Market, so I drove 35 minutes to get here. Unfortunately, they did not have either of the two items I came for (pot pie or chicken with gravy), do not accept cash, and half of the soda machines were not working. The staff was friendly, but it appears that this location may be on the brink of closure. Additionally, the prices were quite high, and I was the only customer in the restaurant during my visit. However, I must admit that the food was good even though it was not what I originally wanted.

It was a fantastic restaurant before they started to have inventory issues. The last time I went there, they only had chicken and maybe 5 sides. They didn't even have any coke products. The previous time i visited they only had meatloaf and corn. I willonly return if they have a reliable menu again. On the positive side, at least the workers are friendly.

Unfortunately, my expectations were not met at this restaurant, as the quality of the food was lacking. The staff was friendly and willing to assist, but the overall cleanliness of the establishment was lacking. It may be some time before I decide to give Boston Market another try.

The food used to be good 20 years ago, but due to bad management and competition from supermarkets, corners were cut. The quality as well as their footprint has gone downhill big time. There is no hope for this brand. I believe operating as a ghostkitchen keeps them on life support, but it's only a matter of time before that concept puts a nail in their coffin. As anex-employee at the beginning of their decline in the late 90's early 2000's, I could not believe how expensive this place is.It's just not worth the money.
