We had a wonderful meal! Two steaks, tuna and Alfredo Pasta. Everyone was very happy. The dinner salads were also excellent. No place to dessert, as the portions were quite large. Definitely back.
All in all, if you've eaten here a few months ago, when you'll see a lot of it now. I'm not sure if it changed owners when it changed names, but what I remembered the last place was like Deja-vu. Service is acceptable, but not exceptional. They were full of customers, but we waited a little longer than we expected. The food is good, but it does not hold a candle at local chain restaurants. It tastes more like what you'd get in a friendhouse that's a good cook. Chili was good. It was spicy, but not hot spicy. Burgers, fries and chicken fingers all taste as you would expect. Nothing to write home. Mac and cheese DEFINITALLY tastes homemade, but there is only 't enough taste to say its good. Steak was a bit hard, but the worts made tasty. The drinks were not a hit. Pop tasted flat and they had to make new tea because the first was absolutely terrible. I'm glad they offered to make a new batch, although the replacements were absolutely delicious. In the middle of the road type. Nothing spectacular, but not bad. I'd eat here again, but I discovered another favorite dish.
I enjoyed the country fried steak, excellent service and cheap prices. In Texas, cream engraving is on the steak, not Brown Gravy. It was still very good. Although there is a bar, not my choice, it is set off from the dining room.
