The kids ordered 2 items each off the kids meal (tenders and mac&cheese . The portions were nice. But, I'd recommend going with 2 options off the menu if you have older kids with hearty appetites. The prices are still reasonable! The kids loved both options. Shout out to the bar...the kids asked for strawberry lemonade. We initially were told that they only have regular lemonade. But, the kids were pleasantly surprised with a cherry lemonade option: My partner ordered the smoked chicken, shrimp and grits; he loved it! He also ordered the shazaraz (spelling? cocktail and enjoyed that as well. I am still on my vegan-ish train! This is where I deducted the one star. Other than a salad, there weren't any vegan options and very few vegetarian options. There was one pasta dish on the entree portion of the menu. But, it would be awesome to have at the very least, one vegan option and/or an additional vegetarian entree option. The service was nice! No wait and Patrice (our server was very attentive and informative! Oh! And the live music was an added bonus. All in all, this is a nice option for families and an even better local option for date night:
Stopped in to grab a bite to eat and so glad we did. We got there just as they were opening so it wasn't crowded. The hostess was a sweet as she could be. She gave me a tour of the place and advised that they were also available for private parties. When entering the bar Area the bar tender was very engaging and did not hesitate to explain what they offered. The private area looks like it could be very nice to entertain a private gathering. Afterwards she took me to my table. There she explained the menu since it was our first time and made a few suggestions. I had already had in my mind that I wanted a hamburger and my girlfriend wanted some calamari. Two good choices. The calamari was perfect. Not over cooked, not soggy or rubbery. The sauce they had to accompany the calamari was excellent. Now on to dis here burger! I'm so glad I got it because it was scrumptious. Seasoned to perfection. Juicy and moist so much that it taste like mo! As in I wanted some mo! I certainly will be back and you should go check them out. If you do, tell'em Drew sent ya! Be Easy! Drew
Stopped in for my lunch break, and will certainly be back. Firstly, they are following COVID precautions, and their present dine in setup in includes both indoor and outdoor distanced seating. Staff wears masks (and you should too, when you're not seated at your table with your fellow party members! Server was very friendly and attentive. Didn't catch the name, unfortunately. I initially ordered the portobello sandwich with an additional side of green salad; shortly after, the server let me know that their produce delivery hadn't arrived yet, and that the portobello sandwich wouldn't be possible, but let me know that they'd be comping me the salad on the house. I ordered the caprese flatbread instead, and I loved it! The balsamic reduction was extra sweet, which normally isn't my thing, but the ultra sweetness was a lovely contrast to the fresh basil flavors. The salad was perfectly dressed. I also ordered two cocktails The Dagwood, and their Lavender French 75. Nothing to write home about, and kind of just what I expect from a bistro setting, but they were fine. Seems they didn't short me on the alcohol ratio though, so I'll be back for another work pick me up in the future!
Bite is probably the closest sit down restaurant to my house (besides Taco Mac across the way), and after all these years, I had never went. My biggest regret is not coming here sooner. My biggest thing now is now I am back in town, I am doing my best to explore Alpharetta. Before I moved, I spent all of my time exploring Atlanta, so I never gave the burbs the time of the day. I am starting to see I have missed out on a lot of solid places, including Bite. My mom and I went last Wednesday night to go check the scene. She didn't want to get dressed up (I told her not to fear, I was wearing my hoodie and Falcons flip flops). I told her I don't think we need to worry. We pulled up and noticed it had a nice little patio (I honestly think that was the first time I had ever pulled into that shopping plaza), and walked right in. It was a cozy and intimate atmosphere, but ended up being pretty casual. I think taking a cougar here would be a hit... We sat in the corner, next to a couple with a lady wearing gym pants- so I told mom don't worry LOL. It seemed like for the most part the menu is the same as it was online- which was good to know. There is also a wine and cocktail book. Beers were limited- and had only 2 on draft, one of them being Dogfish Head IPA for $8. I found that to be a little pricey, but I got it anyways. For a starter, we got the hog toes, which were pimento stuffed fried peppers with a bacon jam. My mom really liked them, I thought they were pretty solid. Another thing I noticed during this time, the hostess would come around and keep the waters flowing- which was nice. For the main, I got the burger, as I hear it is pretty popular in the area- some say even the best in the burbs. For $14, that wasn't a bad price to find out. I did order it without the lettuce and tomato. Mom got a chicken dish that looked pretty solid too. The food came out, and I was pretty excited. The fries it came with were pretty good. The burger itself, was pretty tasty too. It was very filling too. I would say it makes my top 10 I have ever had anywhere- probably rank it 3-4 in Atlanta. I actually prefer it over Bocado too (my favorite in Atlanta is still H&F's at the Peachtree location). The fries, were alright, but not as good as the burger, so that is why I don't rank it higher. I would also not suggest eating anything before it, it is a beast for a double. I had kept reading about this million dollar cake, and so after dinner, I was going to order some dessert. I thought it was weird the check was brought out to us right after eating... I then asked about dessert and then she (the server) told us about our options- 3 different types of cake made from Alpine Bakery- the million dollar cake, a white chocolate mousse, and a cheesecake topped with an apple crumble- for $7 a slice. HUGE portions, FYI. I got the cheesecake and I tell you what, it was one of the best I have had. People kept staring at our desserts- I should have charged them to look at it. This was a pretty solid place- the only qualms I had were the beer selection (and pricing) and the getting the check prematurely. Other than that, I really liked this place- glad to have finally tried it.
My husband and I had a lovely lunch at Bite yesterday. We sat outside on the patio. I've been to Bite several times for lunch with my mom but, this was his first time. I loved it as much as I normally do and he did as well. I had the steak sandwich (one of my all time favorite sandwiches) the filet was perfectly cooked and the condiments are what make it so special...a combination of savory and sweet; fig jelly, balsamic tomatoes and cheddar cheese among others. My husband enjoyed his chicken sandwich with guacamole, smoked gouda, bacon and caramelized onions. The service was excellent and don't miss out on their fries!
