Although ambience was nice but the preparation was worst. I ordered for red curry with chicken they end up making very thin curry. I asked for double chicken instead quantity was too less not sure what was their regular quantity. Taste was ok but it feels like i was eating soup instead of curry.
This is a great little spot in Ames that offers something different than your typical Americanized Asian cuisine. This is a great place to go on a first date if you want to impress someone with a little nicer atmosphere amd smaller setting. Their food is awesome and I highly recommend any of their soups.
I've traveled to the area several times over the past few years, and since finding The Thai Spice, I've made sure to eat here at least once per week I'm in town. Simple, elegant décor; quiet, intimate atmosphere, with light, pleasant jazz playing in the background. Seating is great for parties of one to four. Wait staff always knowledgeable, helpful and attentive, without hovering. And the food...the food! If you like Thai, or want to try it, you *really* should come here.
This place was amazing. The decor was very simple but where they shine is their food and staff. Our waitress was extremely helpful she we asked for suggestions and came back multiple times to make sure we had what we needed. The food was quick and tasted as amazing as it looked. The Siam Shrimp was light and a perfect starter. The Roasted Duck Curry was loaded with duck and was a great balance of flavor. The Pad Cha Talay was spicy with tons of flavor. With Tiramisu was amazing. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be going back.
