The vegan donuts at this restaurant are more like small cakes than traditional donuts, but they are delicious. The flavor and selection have gotten better over time. The cold brew coffee they offer is also excellent.
I really enjoy this charming donut shop. The assortment of flavors is fantastic!
Their vegan/gf donuts get better every time I swing by (about once a year) and they keep expanding their offerings. Send them business and keep encouraging them!
I appreciate that there are vegan donuts and a large selection of them in Amherst, but they are truly sad little donuts. Since they are also the gluten free option, they are made with a GF flour blend that makes them very heavy and have a bit of a grainy mouthfeel. They actually are really more like little coffee cakes in different flavors than donuts, because of the type of flour and the fact that they're imitating cake donuts. I don't mean to knock that they are gluten free I've had gluten free vegan baked items, including donuts, elsewhere that were really awesome, and I've made some myself. That means that I know how much better these could be. And because these donuts aren't in as high demand as the huge non vegan (and sometimes not even vegetarian) selection, they're often stale. If you're looking for vegan donuts and other breakfast baked goods nearby, your best option is sadly the Whole Foods on Rt. 9 in Hadley. Amherst, we can do better!
