Carthay Circle is a spot that I would say is a good place to check out once, if you can afford it. It is pretty pricey, but service is great. My food was good, I just don’t think it is worth it for a repeat visit. I might go for drinks again one day.It was nice decor and comfy seats. Dietary restrictions: They had some gluten free options for my sister with celiacs disease, she enjoyed her meal.
Rudy was my server, and although I had an average experience at Disneyland theme park itself, I was pleased with his service AND hospitality as it really stood out.The Kids' menu is one of the best available in terms of a sit in restaurant. Great portion size and it also actually had flavor and seasoning. The wine list features a wonderful variety of wines. The dining menu had many international options and I would definitely return in terms of my experience alone at Carthay.
The service was great and the place was nice. Unfortunately, the food (which is $50 per person), is actually horrible. We got the risotto, which tastes like nothing, the lamb, which we are afraid gave us food poisoning, and the soup, which was probably the best of what we ordered, but still bland. Not sure how this place has such good reviews, the food was awful and it’s even worse because we had to spend so much.
We had dinner at the Carthay Circle restaurant for my daughter’s 16th birthday. The evening started out great. The upstairs dining area is beautiful. You could hear the music playing in the street. But the evening quickly turned bad. The server was awful. Her demeanor let everyone in our group know she didn’t want to serve us. She never checked on us to make sure everything was okay. We ordered the Parker rolls for the table and it came with a spicy spread. We finally flagged her down and asked for butter. She brought out two small butter slabs for a group of five. We tried to ask for more butter but she dropped the plate and walked away. Finally my husband spoke to the server about celebrating my daughter’s 16th birthday. He ordered a cake which she never brought out. I made the reservation and apologized to everyone in the group.
