The options within the area were lacking and unfamiliar; then we found Anamoose Bakery/Cafe. We told the lovely lady at the counter that we were just looking for something light to eat and she went into the back to make something specific for us. This is a place that it'll keep in mind and even purposely stop in when passing through in the future.
Lively place to share a cup of coffee with local people!
Old fashioned and wonderful! Just what you'd expect in Small town NoDak!
These are the nicest people you will ever meet. I was stationed there in the military and we would just do for each other.
I work on the railroad and recently took a mobile position in North Dakota that has me passing through many small towns. My coworker told me that I have to try the homemade breakfast sandwiches at Anamoose Cafe. He wasn’t lying. Connie is a sweet lady who makes you feel like you just came home and mom/grandma is making supper. She’s always busy making homemade soups, sandwiches, pasties and more. You can’t beat her fresh baked breads and sweets, and her prices are almost too low. Make sure to bring enough cash to place your order and leave her a well deserved tip.
