I only gave this place 4 stars because it's just not my thing. Tbh I did not like the 2 subs I got at all. However, when reviews I read tell me I am wrong. I got the bomb sub and hated it, the bread was awesome, better than anyone elses around, it was filled with a good portion of meat and good quality. To me it tasted like boiled meat, it was just off, not my thing. Same with the turkey breast, outstanding bread, everything was good quality, pickles were more of a Clausen variety rather than a cheap dill pickle. I liked the sub, but the turkey tasted like it was soaked in the juices. And the juices just was too much. I personally would give this place less stars, however in this case, it's not the restaurants fault.
2nd time eating here after friends kept talking about how good it was. Let me tell you, they didn't disappoint. Sandwich was fresh, friendly staff. I'm glad I tried this place again, I'll definitely be back.
The sandwiches were delicious, and the wait was minimal!
We were on a long bike ride hungry...and we saw this JSS in the strip mall. I tried the BOMB, it was good (especially because I love sauted onions peppers . It was our first time at Jon Smith Subs so it took us a few minutes to process the choices...which I would recommend viewing the various menu items before entering the store. I didn't get onion rings or French fries because honestly, I felt rushed into giving my order. No one else in the place when we were there (maybe lots of to-go phone orders? so I felt like no rush. We ate outside on the tables and chairs in front of the sub shop. It was more expensive than Subway (just across Hanson Blvd in the Andover Community Center , but it's nice to have another choice in subs.
