I legit love this place. Great food and the owner is nice and very informative. Cool spot I live out of state but it would definitely be my go to place. I do come when I?m in town every time, so that says a lot. Love their chicken too.
This restaurant has been in my mind for long time. My last visit was about 7 to 8 years ago, and their food and service were impressive (in a positive way . Now, they have more restaurants to compete with and they haven 't really updated their interior (to me, it still looks good though . I was excited to revisit this restaurant. Their foods are still delicious and tasty. If you grew up in South Korea, you can tell, their food flavors are very close to typical Korean street food in South Korea. I was glad that they still serv delicious food. However, their service went down hill noticeably. I was served by the owner. He was a bit rude and ignored his customers (one more table beside of me . It is sad to see that. I really wish he can see my comment and can improve his service a bit. The owner of this diner has an attitude problem. I really mean it. I order 2 kinds of set menu 4 separate dishes )and 2 other dishes to go. A lot to prepare, and they left out one dish by mistake. I found out one dish was missing after I already got home. Oh no.. I didn 't want to spend another 25min. to go back to this diner to pick it up. I called the diner, and the owner already knew why I called. Without any apologetic comments, He kept saying Don 't worry, I will give the money back. Of course, he must give me my money back, but before that, he has to say and mean Sorry ! He kept cutting off what I was saying, and he said Don 't worry, you 'll get the money back. How rude he is! I asked for an apology, and I said he should have said sorry first at the beginning of the conversation. He said that was what he MEANT what? How would anybody knows your mind when you don 't say it? Again, he interrupted, and said I 'm sorry, I 'm sorry! with an attitude! He didn 't yell or get angry. He just showed an clear attitude like So what, I don 't care, You want apology? Here, Sorry! That 's how I felt. Honestly, I 've never seen this kind of I don 't care. attitude from any business owner. This diner is the worst. Any mistake can happen. Any bad attitude especially, by owners) CAN 'T happen. To the owner : You know this is a fair and honest review.
Great place to eat tteokboki and kimbab! We also love their fried chicken, but recently, we had a bad stomachache after dining there. Not sure if the chicken was bad or the sauce was bad, but something wasn't right. We still like the place and will return, but I can't guarantee the consistent quality of the food.
