The one star is for location only. Absolute dive. The most unwelcoming, unclean pub In the East Neuk hands down. Think Trainspotting. We found it was staffed by brazen benefit cheats.... barstaff, housekeeping, all happy to take cash in hand as well as government handouts. Do not take anything of value here. There is no parking either which we would have appreciated knowing. You may park on the street if you find a spot. A real shame in all we recall this being the heart of the community. People allowed to vape in bar. If you don't want to inhale secondhand nicotiine, give this place a miss.

The room was ok. It was clean but a few wee tweaks like the drawers wouldn't open and we had to take them out. But it didn't ruin our stay here. The hosts were lovely and I think that's the positive vibe from the hotel. I.think the owner needs to update a few things for the guests especially the WiFi! You have lovely hosts with Dee and her partner so make it an asset to get your hotel better cosmetically . You are in a fantastic spot in anstruther. Thank you Dee Rooms: 3 Service: 4 Location: 5

Dropped into this hotel 8th of July with fellow walkers After a nice walk Wee had good service Friendly staff and good prices drinks Will certainly visit again Service: 4
