Service was good. Food was tasty, but for not being too busy it was delivered warm, not hot. My soup was Luke warm at best. I would certainly give them another try as flavors were good
Upon our visit to Apalachicola, FL, we had multiple restaurants to select from for a Friday afternoon lunch. After perusing the specials for Tamara's Cafe, we thought that would be the best alternative for tantalizing our tastebuds. We were not disappointed. I had a softshell crab hoagie with a wonderful tangy aioli joined by homemade potato chips. That was huge and delicious. My wife hit the jackpot, though, with their Tabasco marinated grouper cheeks on seasoned mac cheese covered with sauteed seasoned greens. That was fantastic! And so large both of use together could not finish it off. The service was good and the prices fair. We're ready to visit Apalachicola again!
If I could give it minus stars this food poisoning pit would get it. Service. It started ok when we were seated but the the server became progressively rude when I asked her if our food was coming after an hour wait! We witnessed 3 other tables come in after us, were waited on, served and leaving during the hour. During our wait, we all are or were in the food service industry, 2 of us being executive chefs in a large city. We witnessed numerous food safety violations, from minor to major violations. We asked for the check for our beverages we had and were going to leave. The server came with the food and the bill. Everything was cold, a tcf violation. My daughter in law was so hungry, she ate her fish tacos and was sick the next day! My husband's food was not what he ordered, I have been teetering to call the Franklin County Health Department and report their violations.DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU ARE IN NEED OF A GOOD STOMACH AND BOWEL CLEANSING!
Tamara's Cafe catered the lunch for the Visit Florida Training session. My first thought on seeing the cuban sandwich was how am I going to save 1/2 for later. I shouldn't have worried. It was too good to bother saving!!! It didn't last that long and it was sizable. Thank you!
