We dropped in for lunch and enjoyed it. They do have a lunch menu. I appreciate that, I don't always want a giant full lunch. The prices were very reasonable. We had the fried avocado for an appetizer. On the lunch menu they offered small plate appetizers. The dipping sauce was yummy. We also got the burger with egg and holidase sauce. It was very good. We also had the Aunt Nenny's sandwich and enjoyed it also. The bread was perfectly crisp and buttery. The bacon was thick and flavorful. The service was excellent. Great atmosphere, it's pretty unique inside.Kid-friendliness: Great sit down atmosphere. Nothing specific for kids but definitely a good family dinner.
Unusually good comfort foods from the South. Made with great ingredients and real expertise. Gumbo, jambalya, okra, steaks, fish, hamburgers even the meatloaf is memorable. This is one of my go to places when I want to be sure that my guests are happy.
Calm and peaceful after trying to navigate the Downtown light the night event. Service was excellent and food was good. We had excellent drinks and a very enjoyable time!Food: 5/5
Always good food at Wilders! Tried the house salad and cornbread this time. All very good. I've enjoyed their Friday fish fry, chicha roll, burgers, fish tacos, and the shrimp and grits. I've never been disappointed. The stuffed mushroom appetizer and fried avocado are also a must! The service is friendly, and I've always found it to be a great place to bring someone to have a conversation. It's never been loud when I've been here and the atmosphere is very calming.
