Archdale Bakery

First and foremost, the reason I came to the establishment was to support a small business and get a slice of cake in my birthday. I follow the account on TikTok and decided to stop by on my birthday en route to my destination. I gave them one star because they were not open and the number didn’t work, as if the information on google was incorrect. I was crushed!!! Better luck next time I guess!

I needed a birthday cake made last minute with less than 24 hours notice and they were able to do it, the cake was beautiful and tasted great!

I could eat cake for three meals a day. Coconut cake? Just add fourth meal! Unfortunately, the coconut cake was nothing special. The cake was moist but just not exceptional. What makes a cake for me is the icing. The ample amount of icing was just greasy I wouldn't even want to lick the beaters. While the cake was a 2 star, the huge brownie I brought home for my DIL was deemed excellent. In addition to cake slices and brownies, cupcakes and a few types of cookies were also available not the variety of baked goods usually seen at a bakery. I was on a short road trip and went out of my way to visit Archdale Bakery. It just wasn't worth the stop.

We ordered a two tiered rosette cake which was exactly what we got. Beautifully decorated but the cake was very dry and the icing way to sweet. I have purchased many from this bakery over the years but a little disappointed this time. $150 was a shocker also, a heads up would have been nice since the last one was $60 and we just added a small top layer. We will be back for sure and try again. Customer service is excellent and always has been.

This was my first time using Archdale Bakery. To my surprise I was not impress. This bakery was recommended by a family member of mine, so I wasn't skeptical of using them. However, I paid $150 for a two-tier cake that looked so underwhelming. The cake decorating could've been a lot better. The cakes tastes ok, but the frosting was good. I do not know if I'll try cakes from here again.
