The prices have nearly doubled over the last year or two, it's just not worth it anymore. Maybe I just can't afford good sushi? I wish them the best and I'll be back if I win the lottery.
My husband chose Tokyo House restaurant after reading great reviews. We went for lunch yesterday and had one of the worst Japanese meals ever! We spent $75 for lunch and walked away thoroughly disappointed! The sushi looked gray, the king salmon teriyaki was crusty and fried, and the chicken katsu was the worst I've ever had! The service was lackluster. Overall it was a huge disappointment. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
I support local small business. Hate to give a bad review, but the food quality was way below standard for the super high pricing. Nigiri sushi fish was mushy and old tasting. My wife said that was the worst Katsu she has ever had. Request the owner to make a note and review pricing as we want small restaurants doing well in the area. Restroom was dirty as well. Not my first choice for a sushi restaurant, primarily because their prices are way too high and the dishes don't warrant them. There are better sushi restaurants available for much more competitive prices. I will the chef high marks on prep though. Kinda located in a depressing strip mall that just seems run down. The food is excellent. The service is so personal and friendly. They have made me feel like family very quickly. I became a frequent customer because of how delicious their sushi is made. The ambiance is of a calm and relaxing bar/lounge. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner or lunch or just to have great sushi.
