Contribuer aux commentairesThis is one of the best restaurants around, and their long-standing presence in the business says it all. The veal is among the finest in New Jersey, and the fish is always fresh and delicious. Plus, they're open on Mondays, which is a great advantage in this area!
I've been coming to this restaurant since the late 1990s, and I've never had a bad meal. The food is consistently abundant and delicious. I really appreciate the classic vibe and ambiance. Parker Arthur is always efficient and friendly. I would love to know what kind of paprika they use in their salads because they are incredible!
Our waitress Tara was fantastic—she knew the menu inside and out and was both attentive and personable. For appetizers, we tried the Clams Casino, which were small but sweet and absolutely delicious. We also ordered a shrimp cocktail; it was nicely chilled and paired with excellent cocktail sauce. For our main courses, we had the Pasta DiGiovanni, which features a spicy garlic sauce over linguine. It was cooked to perfection, al dente, and the garlic-infused sauce was simply outstanding. The Sole Almondine was perfectly cooked as well, and my husband really enjoyed it. My daughter chose the double Italian pork chop with hot peppers, which she loved. We also ordered sides of ravioli and escarole, both of which were delicious. I must highlight the fabulous house salad, dressed with an anchovy oil-based dressing. It was delightful! I need to find out what kind of red paprika they use because it was unforgettable. We finished our meal with a cannoli to-go for my husband, who was too full to have one immediately but wanted to save it for later. I also ordered a pistachio cake that had been on my mind; Tara informed me that Stephanie does all the baking, and I can only say, "More, please!" The ambiance was made even more special by the lovely host, whose name I regret not asking for. He greeted us with a smile and wished us a pleasant evening as he chose our table. Overall, the entire experience was unforgettable, and we can't wait to return. Diane, you run a beautiful restaurant with wonderful staff who treat us like regulars, and we are excited to officially become regulars ourselves. We'll definitely be reminiscing about our lovely dinner for a long time. See you soon!
Omg! I think we finally found our way to the Italian restaurant. We went because I had won a tricky tablet from Asbury Park Restaurant gift cards and Jimmy was one of them. The food was overwhelming. Such a cool atmosphere and the waitress was absolutely wonderful and beyond the reception. My husband and I couldn't survive the experience. Definitely a professional cook...not someone who makes family recipes. We went on the early page with reservations at six. When we went to eight by a quarter! The place was full. I definitely recommend reservations and leaned back sooner than later. It's a joke on the higher side, but we'll be with every penny. I think we'll see it from here every month. Love, love.
The experience brought me back to the 60's and 70's . Wholesome people that know what the word respect means. Beyond that the food was excellent. No complaints. Will be back soon to enjoy my roots.
