Contribuer aux commentairesWhat a scrumptious feast! We arrived just as the jousting competition in the squares started (so we were the only people). The staff were incredibly kind, they don't speak English but I speak Italian so we went through all the options and I translated for my friends. Small menu we had delicious fried appetizer selection (various vegetables), bruschette etc... Then Gnocchi with truffles, raviolo with pecorino and spinach and porcini sauce... just amazingly delicious. Local wines served in carafes, semifreddo for afters, and then digestivi on the house. By the time we were onto the pastas the place was totally rocking with crowds of locals. This place is wonderful local food, perfectly cooked and graciously served. One of the favorites of the trip.
I’ve been coming to Ascoli for 20 years and often eat at the same restaurants. Tonight I tried Quanto Basto for the first time. It’s a very cute place with outdoor seating not on a busy street. The staff is extremely kind. I had the Tagliata and it was extremely tender, thinly sliced, cooked absolutely perfectly. I also had the cicoria (chickory in English I guess? delicious. For those that don’t speak Italian, English menus are available and the staff is very kind they will help you order. I highly recommend Quanto Basto.
Very cute place with some yummy dishes, menu is basics but good atmosphere and good service. Good choice of wine and beer too!!!
