With real china, homemade cakes, and light meals on offer, it's the perfect place to relax. Located near the Royal Military Canal, it's also a great spot for dog walks. In addition to the tea room, there are antique dealers, a general store, and a friendly pub nearby.
Treated my sister to afternoon tea for her birthday. Wow!! we loved everything about the tearooms. The food was delicious, generous portions and we were provided with boxes to bring home what we couldn’t eat. Loved the surroundings and the ambience……really friendly owners that made for a very special afternoon treat. We would highly recommend and already planning a return visit soon……..thank you
Went here for afternoon tea for 2 friends birthdays. There were 10 of us in total. The first upsetting thing was we were split onto 2 separate tables, 6 on one and 4 on another. It is a small tea room, but we could of been advised that they couldn't accommodate us all on one table before hand. The next thing was the cost for what we actually got. We received ONE 3 tiered stand per table with a mixture of tiny finger sandwiches, tiny cakes and a few small sausage rolls and quiches. A large scone was also on a separate plate with jam and cream. We were offered one drink but had to purchase any extra. No Oat/Soya milk on offer either. This cost £25 per head so they received £300 in total, total rip off! I appreciate overheads for the establishment but each tiered stand must of cost a maximum of £10 to put together. The food was tasty but just not worth what they charged. Hate to leave bad reviews but I hope the manager may see this and think again about what things cost.
We stopped by for a coffee on our way back from the coast. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the coffee was freshly brewed and delicious. Although we didn't try them, the cakes and snacks on display looked tasty. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available, and while dogs are not allowed inside, they are welcome at the outdoor tables. This charming spot is definitely worth a visit.
Just charming: beautiful small cafe tea room in the charming village of Appledore. Service could not be friendlier, delicious food light lunches and Kentish cream teas. Dog friendly too. Highly recommended, and suggest you book ahead as it’s understandably popular
