Contribuer aux commentairesThat's not joes steakhouse anymore. it seems that restaurant from the business want and another restaurant has taken it. they should check and see what's going on. they were very nice, because it is not a steak house, it is now northern Italy. was not decorated for the celebration and if they did not know that it was silvester, this would have been every other Saturday night.
Great food and excellent service at this lovely little gem. I had the lamb, which was delicious, but it was sliced a bit too thin. If it were cut to a medium thickness of about 3/4 inch, the dish would have been absolutely perfect. The staff was attentive, charming, and professional. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely make a return visit.
Joe's Prime Steakhouse is not actually a steakhouse; it is an Italian restaurant, and frankly, it doesn't excel at that either. We ordered a glass of wine from the menu, but it tasted like vinegar. The salads lacked dressing, and the bread was mediocre at best. The pasta was overcooked, resulting in a gummy texture that made it cling together. This is an old Italian establishment that has been around for years, but it feels tired and unexciting, with little effort put into the food.
The service at the restaurant was excellent; the waitstaff were attentive and eager to please. The food was very good, and they even made the bolognese without milk upon request. My only complaint is that the white wine should be served chilled. It was warm when we received it, and we had to wait over half an hour for the bottle to cool down. I would definitely return, but I hope that next time the wine is properly chilled, or I won’t accept the bottle. Great find in Astoria!
