Mmmmm so good! I had to get the original. We make these at home since I live in Ohio and Amato's is not an option. It had been at least 30 years since I had one and it was just like I remembered! Only 4 stars because even though thr service was quick she didn't advise if drinks came with my sandwich and I didn't see prices for the drinks.
First time at Amato's, and it won't be the last. For breakfast, I wanted an egg and cheese muffin with sausage and peppers. Asked if possible as it wasn't on the menu. Within a few minutes I had a delicious muffin with filled with an egg, creamy cheese, peppers and onion. YUMMY! Thank you Omar for your friendly welcome and for sharing a bit about Amato's history. Really enjoyed my first visit, looking forward to trying their other menu options as well as getting that muffin again.
Calzone was boiled to perfection and super-cohes. As I like it. Wish that they had laity salt and vinegar chips, although the Utz brand is not so difficult to taste, but I will not mistake the company for it because they do not cook them.
For the third time, I place an order for a calzone. 20-25 minutes they tell me. I get there 25 minutes in, pay, and they are still assembling the calzone. I sit and wait, getting all hangry. And I wait some more, 20 additional minutes more. I finally get up and look to see my calzone order is sitting up on the pizza oven, who knows for how long. Amatos, you've killed my lunch break three different times, why do I have to do your job to see if my order is done. You can do better.
