Vivo - Austin

This is one of my favorite places to eat lunch or go to happy hour. The food is great and I have always had a great experience until Friday. My coworkers and I were sitting down enjoying our drinks and appetizers, we had just asked the waitress for our checks, a few minutes later the hostess comes over and asks if we were done because they had a reservation and needed our table to fill a larger party. I let her know that we were waiting to pay but that we still had our drinks to finish as the waitress had brought us our last round with the check. She then proceeded to tell us that we only had about 5-15min to finish because that’s when the larger party was set to arrive and they would need the table. She then sends a man to come start clearing our table. He literally started taking the chips and salsa and water that we were still consuming. I don’t think I have ever encountered this before. I had no words.

Pretty impressed with this place. Only draw back is it is pretty dark atmosphere inside. The waiter Oscar was super helpful and attentive. The chips and salsa are on point. The cocktails we had more than pictured ? were tasty. My fajita tacos were delicious and my wife loved her street tacos. This is a hidden gem that should be visited if you are in the area.

Fantastic tex-mex operation, great food, service and libations. I also like the patio. There was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. The atmosphere is a little loud for conversation, but overall, I would recommend and return. The addition of flowers in the margaritas was a nice extra touch that helped spark a festive attitude.Food: 4/5

A reliable place to come before or after a show at Austin Film Society's theater. I actually prefer the patio over the dining room. They take reservations, which is nice. I've never had a bad experience here, but I've also never craved the food after a long time away.Food: 3/5

This place is amazing. The staff is so caring and sweet. The food was soo good. The margaritas were top tier.We came here with our baby and they were so accommodating with us. The host even gave us a spoon for her just in case we wanted to feed her. The waitress was super nice and gave amazing recommendations. Overall an amazing experience
