The steak was a little under cooked from our medium order, but the flavor and tenderness was awesome!We waited for more than 3 minutes at the door, when there were literally only four customers inside!! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful once they served us, but they say wait to be seated, when there was no one in the place!Overall, a good evening with good food!
Let me tell you something I've been to a lot of barbecues all over this great state of texas. This place had the best pulled pork and bacon wrapped shrimp I've had in my life.. If you want to groove on down to some pretty food that makes you want to slap your mama this is the place to be. Food was great not dry full of juice and mackey sheese and mashy taters were on the spot. Came back the same week had some more food and all all I could say was God Bless Texas and Flames barbecue. Make ya day fresh.Kid-friendliness: Very much.Parking: Lots of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Our server, Kylie was fantastic! Brisket sandwich was excellent! Hubby had chicken friend steak and he enjoyed it! Brisket Mac and cheese, oh my! Can’t wait to go back and enjoy a live band and some desserts! Hopefully bananas pudding. ?Update, the dessert is good!!!!That smoked peach cobbler, delicious.?
My wife and I ate there for lunch today and I probably had the best fried catfish I have ever eaten. It was served fresh and hot by our server, Journey (yep, named after the musical group! . Her service was commendable as both our orders were prepared and presented quickly with plenty to eat. Before leaving, I told my wife I was already planning a return visit to see how consistently good their food offerings are especially their fried catfish. Flames is where the old Mark Dean’s BBQ was in Azle off Hwy 199. If I find their food quality remains consistently high, then they will have several new recurring customers. If not, well, I’ll be sure to let you know. ;
Kris was amazing. He answered all my questions about their food, because my wife will tell you I tend to be a picky eater. They have great drinks, there brisket fries are the bomb and the Azle tots are great too!!! I mostly get a brisket sandwich and fries and dip it in their queso, from your neighborhood friendly fat man hahaha. Hope y’all enjoy
