We were a little disappointed as we walked in this time not seeing the familiar happy faces. Still the pizza was alright but not the same kind of feeling. We were very glad to find out that that the family who ran it before just moved to San Cassiano. So we quickly booked a table at the Skibar and we had a wonderful evening in great atmosphere with our favourite pizzas . It's a smart furbished restaurant you see it's newly done but it still has its typical ladin character which I adore. The food and other dishes across the room looked magnificent. Especially the Tiramisu. I can't wait to go there next time.
Great food but service a little patchy unless you get the one waiter who is really on the ball. Generous portions for the children's menu. Adults had the steak and some seafood both of which were excellent. Only the slow service let it down but that is partly to be expencted when on holiday in Italy, nobody is going at the same pace as London and we wouldn't want them to!
The title "Ski Bar ' does not do this place justice it is a very nice restaurant with a smart ambience and good food. We enjoyed a celebration dinner there, celebrating a visit 30 years earlier when the ambience was entirely different! We so enjoyed our Saturday evening meal that we went back for Sunday lunch.
We ate there March 18, 2023. Uneven quality! Minestrone soup tasted very good, but the carbonara was perhaps the worst we have ever tried.
