It's really nice and their rooms view are beautiful. It's clean and it has a great restaurant. The only is the parking lot is separate. Everyone really makes you welcome.
We booked a stay at this hotel back in December for a weekend trip in mid June. With a few days left until the trip they decided to email us saying they cancelled our reservation. When speaking to them in phone and in person (since we still needed to go) they claim they overbooked. So because it was Fleet week and a Phillies-Orioles game that brought in lots of tourists, and all the local hotels were full, they cancelled our and other clients stays in an attempt to get more money out of the rooms. We were not the only ones in the hotel stranded with no where to go and it's obvious what and why they did what they did. We booked 7 months prior, there should be no reason we had our rooms cancelled rather than someone who booked more recently. It is a terrible display of customer service by the hotel and the staff could not care less about the situation for us and the other clients we saw in the lobby upset about their cancelations. Terrible management.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. Despite having a confirmed reservation, the hotel failed to honor it and left me and my family with no place to stay. We were traveling with two young children and were left stranded with no accommodation. The worst part was they did this to multiple families. The hotel staff was incredibly ineffective and unsympathetic to our situation. They were unable to find us alternative accommodation or provide any assistance in finding a solution. It was a stressful and frustrating experience that put a damper on our entire trip. In their sad attempt to resolve the situation they passed out drink vouchers which lead to some stranded travelers becoming drunk and angry in the lobby as they had nowhere else to go. They also gave out keys to rooms that were occupied, meaning people walked in on other guests that were already checked in. What was most disappointing, however, was the complete lack of leadership from the manager. During a major issue with multiple guests, the manager was nowhere to be found, leaving a young staff member to handle the situation alone. A manager should be leading by example and supporting their team, but instead, this manager was hiding behind closed doors. When he finally emerged, he was rude and apathetic, showing no concern for the the guests or his own staff.Due to the entire situation- lack of empathy from staff, and the number of potential safety issues, our family opted to scrap the trip and return home, we left the hotel at 10pm with exhausted and crying children. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, as their lack of professionalism and disregard for their guests' wellbeing is unacceptable. It is clear that customer service is not a priority for this establishment, and I will not be returning in the future.
Would have been nice to know in advance parking wasn't included and that it's available in the building but isn't part of the hotel. Would have preferred to not have the added 30+ a day. Resturant is hit or miss with hours past 9 if they'll take you or not. Housekeeping had to have us speak to her phone so it would translate when asking for anything. Across the 4 days they never came in and we had to ask for anything added. The do not disturb tags were removed every morning. While Im not sure if that was planned or not it was annoying to have to ask every morning for another sign for those in the party who slept later. Overall a pretty hotel with less amenities than would expect based on location and other hotels nearby. Also the breezeway that crosses over to the harbor is no longer allowed for use. Room was average nothing like what the professional photos showed or what we'd expected.
