It was a pleasure to see that the restaurant management was in a relaxed and friendly mood once again. The food was just as delicious as before, and all of our ordered dishes were well-received and enjoyed. My husband's chicken parma was both huge and tasty. Although my order did not arrive as described (Eggs Florentine with English muffins instead of Artisan bread), the mistake was quickly rectified without any fuss. The owner mentioned that they had recently switched to serving muffins like other establishments. It would be helpful to update the menu description or inform customers of any changes when they place an order to avoid similar issues in the future. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with good service and a happy return visit.
I ordered two big pizzas for a crazy $43. We were looking forward to a Saturday contract and when we opened the boxes at home, we were really disappointed. This is not what you expect to be a wild pizza and not for the money we paid. Overpriced and used cheap ingredients and both pizzas were covered with raw onion. A $5 pizza from Dominoes is better than what we were serving. In addition, the owner and the staff did not wear masks properly, the other 2 co-owners in the store did not wear masks at all. Disappointed. Avoid. There are much better pizza shops.
This is my neighborhood restaurant, but unfortunately, Pizzahütte gets five stars compared to it. The pizza was bland and made with cheap, unappetizing ingredients. They use pre-cut olives that are artificially colored and the seafood was low-quality, frozen, and not tasty. There are much better dining options in the area. The staff, except the manager, was friendly. I would recommend avoiding this place.
I had a fantastic brunch at this restaurant, the food was exceptional. Unfortunately, I had an issue with the owner/manager when I asked the waiter not to touch the knife blades and fork tines while setting the table. The manager also told the waiter not to apologize for it. While I may come across as strict, it is common knowledge in the service industry to handle glasses by the stem and cutlery from the middle to avoid leaving fingerprints. Despite being reassured that hands were washed, I believe there are better ways to handle cutlery, especially during a pandemic. I tried to provide constructive feedback but was treated as if I were in the wrong. I was disappointed with the service I received, but the food was excellent.
Been coming here since it opened back in about 2014. Clay Oven is a true hidden gem tucked away in the leafy, rolling hills area of Greens Hills, Greensborough. Fabulous consistent food, great, attentive service and a friendly owner. The menu style is Portuguese/Mediterranean style with clay oven pizzas included.
