This place is amazing! First, location, location, location! Walking distance to the center of town and other Bar Harbor attractions! We only used our cars to go to Acadia. Secondly, the breakfast here was delicious. You get a choice of two breakfast options a day or a to go breakfast. The quiche was way beyond my expectations. You received a fruit, a bread/cake item, and your meal served with juice and coffee/tea. Definitely gave us a good start to our day. The room was adorable and amazing. It was clean, our room, which was on the top floor, was silent. I found it hard to believe anyone else was staying but every night the place was sold out. Lastly, the people who work there are super nice and friendly. I should add very informative. Bottom line, this place was extraordinary!
We stayed here for two evenings on a recent visit to Maine. What a wonderful place to call our home away from home. We stayed in the carriage house sweet and couldn’t be happier with the stay. We woke to a fresh breakfast each morning and could choose between two entrees. It always included fruit and a breakfast bread and juice. Cheryl was a gracious host. Plus, it was just blocks away from everything. We walked each evening to somewhere new to have dinner. I would recommend to everyone! looking for a great place to stay.
If you're searching for a bed and breakfast in Bar Harbor, look no further than Elmhurst Inn. It's conveniently located just a few blocks from downtown and right around the corner from a grocery store, which is incredibly convenient. The breakfasts are fantastic, often featuring delicious Maine blueberries. Cheryl, the manager, and her staff are exceptional and knowledgeable about local restaurants. We spent nine days in the Cadillac Suite, which has a king-sized bed and ample space. You can enjoy a fresh cup of coffee or tea on the veranda while diving into a good book. The entrance to Acadia National Park is just a short drive away. If we return to the area, we will definitely choose to stay here again!
Great bed and breakfast near downtown Bar Harbor. Excellent, friendly and helpful staff, a large and spacious room and (natural) a really delicious breakfast in their idyllic sunroom dining room. In the morning we stayed, they made a berries and cream crepe and a goat cheese and asparagus quiche, both of which were quite delicious. I recommend you stay here if you like B
